In response to the uncertainty brought about by COVID, START launched a new SEL & Leadership initiative for educators. It has expanded rapidly and inspired more than 100 educators in schools and agencies across the socio-economic spectrum in the US and around the world.
The training is designed for you and your students. First, the course provides an opportunity to rekindle your enthusiasm and sense of purpose for your work while advancing your personal and professional leadership skills. Next, you learn ways to build the leadership mindset, skill set, and meaningful connections your students need to take the lead in their own lives and to navigate their path with purpose.
START’s proven leadership framework is designed to integrate a number of initiatives, including SEL, Mindfulness, Growth Mindset, and Classroom Management. This integrated approach reduces initiative fatigue and can be easily embedded into your class or counseling routines to build essential life and leadership experiences for students.
This course is for forward thinking participants with a proven track record who are not only interested in integrating the elements of SEL, Growth Mindset, Mindfulness, and Character Education into a holistic experience for their students, and who are also committed to championing this work with their colleagues in their school, district, and beyond.
In START courses, participants learn how to foster the mindset, skill set, and meaningful connections we and our students need to discover their why: who they are, what they care about, and where they can contribute in their school, community, and the world.
